The stadium opened April 17, 2009 with the Aces cruising to a lopsided 11-1 victory over the Salt Lake City Bees. The first game was played before a packed crowd of 9,167 fans. |

| Early picture of the Freight House area from the Landmarks 2 page shows the vacant lot and apartment building where the ballpark now stands. The Freight House was scheduled to be demolished for construction of the train trench but was saved at the last minute and is now a centerpiece for the new ballpark, entertainment, dining and retail district. |
