The 16-story Cal Neva tower, a former bank building constructed in 1963, was purchased by the city for $5.5 million and is the new City Hall. The city installed a RENO sign that towers over downtown.

The Golden Phoenix closed in November, 2005,
and new owners will convert the building into The Montage Condominiums.
The small casino space on Virginia Street will remain open with about 60 slot machines.

The Comstock Hotel Casino at Second and West Streets was closed in 2000
and converted to apartments. In 2004 the building was gutted to be rebuilt as
the Riverwalk Condominiums. The last picture shows the installation of balconies.
The building behind the Comstock is Arlington Tower Condominiums at First and Arlington.

The Riverboat at Second and Sierra Streets closed as a casino but the front portion opened
as an antiques store. In 2005 there were plans for a Long's Drug Store in the first floor space.
