^Top Riverside Hotel Artist's Lofts, Remodeling 2000-2001
| George Wingfield purchased the property in 1924 and hired Nevada architect Frederic DeLongchamps to design the Riverside Hotel. It opened in 1927 and went through a series of owners including Pic Hobson and Jessie Beck. The building closed as a casino-hotel in 1986 and remained vacant for 15 years then was remodeled as artist's lofts funded by the city of Reno. The first picture above, taken in June, 2000, shows the construction fencing along the street. |
